CLARUS MARK II SUBWOOFER CABLES

Rich, Well-Defined, Multi-Dimensional Bass

Almost all AV receivers and preamplifiers feature an LFE (low-frequency effects) output that sends a mono signal consisting only of low frequencies to a subwoofer. Clarus subwoofer cables are optimized for low-frequency signals by rolling off high frequencies to reduce unwanted noise.

The geometry chosen for Clarus subwoofer cables is a multi-gauge twisted-pair design. Multi-gauge conductors create a detailed and dimensional bass sound, while twisted-pair geometry provides significant noise reduction at low frequencies and tends to sound more natural. Clarus subwoofer cables are famous for capturing every iota of rich, well-defined, multi-dimensional bass.

TECHNOLOGY

The Purest Copper Available for the Purest Sound Possible

Clarus designs cables for discriminating audiophiles using the purest copper available. Pure Continuous Cast Copper (PCCCC) uses a unique proprietary mold extrusion process that creates substantial lengths of single-crystal copper that is directional, free of impurities, flexible, and corrosion-resistant, with low electrical resistance, and non-crystal boundaries that are structurally perfect.

Distinctly Different Subwoofer Cable Design

Clarus subwoofer cables feature conductor sizes and combinations optimized for low frequencies. Since low frequencies tend to favor heavy gauge conductors, Clarus designs subwoofer cables with multi-large-gauge solid-core conductors. The multi-gauge design consists of three solid conductor sizes to support low-, mid-, and high-frequency bass signals.

Each conductor is individually insulated, providing a clear bass sound. A double-sided aluminum foil and Mylar® wrap and a copper-braided shield surrounds each conductor to prevent the ingress of noise generated by extraneous EMI and RFI. This design provides your high-performance subwoofer with a clean, noise-free, high-resolution, tight bass signal.

Mark II — The Final Connection

Clarus terminates MKII subwoofer cables with RCA connectors made from two copper alloys: high-purity, high-conductivity tellurium copper provides low resistance with superior sound characteristics, and lightweight, springy, and high-conductivity beryllium copper guarantees solid contact and low-loss signal transfer.

The tellurium copper center pin features a hollow design that reduces eddy currents that sometimes slow signal transfer. However, beryllium copper, used for the ground section of the RCA connector, has a strong memory characteristic. When its shape is displaced, it springs back to its original position or shape, ensuring the RCA plug’s ground plates firmly grip the receptacle for a solid ground connection.

Clarus MKII Subwoofer Cables— Rich, Well-Defined, Multi-Dimensional Bass

Clarus designs, engineers, and crafts each subwoofer cable to provide the ultimate listening experience for discerning audiophiles. Crafted with Clarus MKII RCA connectors, no other audiophile-grade cables feature the innovative engineering breakthroughs and enhanced high-end performance of Clarus subwoofer cables.

Clarus subwoofer cables are packaged and sold as single cables.
