CLARUS POWER CONDITIONER AND BLOCKS

The Definition of Clean Power

The Clarus approach to power conditioning is a radical new way of designing an application-specific AC delivery system. The Clarus goal was to prevent electronic contamination in the form of noise from obscuring the musical details of an audio signal. This type of noise generally occurs in the frequency range well above human hearing. Still, it has the effect of masking low-level musical information like soundstage dimension, imaging, instrument location, and high-frequency detail. Through extensive listening sessions, Clarus engineers determined that many filter designs used for conditioning the power of digital audio components measurably remove noise from the AC supply. However, our engineers found that these same filters audibly degrade an analog audio component’s musical signal output and restrict the sound from blooming. Additionally, filter designs often choke the input current, limiting the peak performance of high current power amplifiers. Clarus Power is different.

The Finest Power Conditioning Available

Manufacturers of high-performance audio equipment design noise-reduction filtering into their power supplies. However, they usually provide a partial solution. Hence, the need for a well-designed AC power conditioner that improves dynamic range by removing the veil of low-level noise that obscures musical passages—without adding distortion.

Clarus Power Allows Components to Achieve Peak Performance

Clarus power conditioners are application-specific AC energy delivery systems that incorporate three distinct, proprietary AC filter designs: one for analog components, another for digital components, and a third for high current amplifiers. Each design provides the optimum AC line filtering for the appropriate component type.
